Our Programs

Life in the modern age has become particularly trying. Standards of living has improved, yet individuals suffer under the weight of present-day living, both mentally and physically. Our ancient wisdom offers insight to meet the demands of the present-day problems as well. The School of Well Being helps individuals and families around the world, who are struggling to integrate demands of work, home and community to delve further into their consciousness.

We are trying ceaselessly to reveal secrets of ancient Vedic practices to modern minds through spiritually innovative methods and techniques with a touch of scientific researth. We strongly believe that a thorough study of Mind, its nature and its control is absolutely essential. As just the study is not enough we encourage one and all to put such study into practice through Yoga Nidra and Meditation.

mind

What is the mind? What is its nature? How to control it? How important is it to know the mind? Me and my mind are one entity or two?

YOGA NIDRA

What is Yoga Nidra? What is relaxation? Who is it for? Is it about simply laying down and go to sleep? What happens to the body and the mind during this practice?

meditation

What is meditation? Is it an effort of making the mind blank? Is it a technique that can be practiced? Is it something that the mind can achieve?

SWAMI YATIDHARMANANDA

“Why do you ring the bell so hard in the temple?” Why should I burn incense sticks?” “How can you worship a living person as a Guru?”

Growing up in Cuttack, Odisha, Swami Yatidharmananda had a thousand questions like this about our culture, religion and spirituality. These questions lead him to his Guru Swami Chidanandaji Maharaj.

Swami Yatidharmananda is the founder of Swami Chidananda Sevashram. The Sevashram is a Socio-Spiritual Organisation dedicated to the life and teachings of Gurudev Swami Chidanandaji.

He conducts workshops on Relaxation and Meditation, Sings Kirtans and loves to share inspiring stories of his life transformative journey. He has also developed unique and impactful programs that heal, empower and transform you to tackle challenges in day to day life.

Our philosophy

Enquire

Our entire system of philosophical enquiry was based on asking questions. Do not just believe without questioning. Vedic culture thrived upon the concept of challenging the status quo. With time, this concept was diluted and people steered away from these core values, causing disharmony. It is essential to set out on the path of enquiry with willpower and open-mindedness to learn the science behind our ancient culture.

Intellectually we may enquire, come to conclusion and learn, but without putting that knowledge into practice, it becomes a burden.. The wise ones who came before us, dedicated themselves to the pursuit of such knowledge and uncovered the path to seek it. They declared “attain such knowledge after attaining which nothing more remains to be attained.” Therefore, it is crucial to seek and explore authentic sources of knowledge.

An ounce of practice is better than tons of theory. When we engage in practice with an unbiased attitude of seeking and discovery, even ordinary experiences can enrich our consciousness. Knowledge and awareness are, therefore, indispensable for supreme attainment. Delve into a journey within, through the practice of being aware and practice of meditation based on ancient vedic guidelines.

Meditation is the ultimate gateway to blessedness. Every yoga practice culminates in meditation. Through deep meditation our interior life and our discerning intellect can shine. Thus pondering the meaning of our real identity ‘I’ and its relation to the universe, one can rise gradually evolve. And thus acquire the knowledge of the evolutionary process of the cosmos and experience self knowledge.

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam

Awakening the World as One Family

The Vedic spiritual tradition has long emphasized the collective upliftment of the world. Slokas such as “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”—”The world is one family”—and “Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu”—”May all beings be happy and free”—are powerful expressions of the belief that transformation is possible when each member of the community feels a sense of togetherness and support. True transformation can only occur when society rises together, one person at a time.

To foster this sense of community and unite the global population, Swami Yatidharmananda has traveled extensively around the world to spread the message of the School of Well-being and the teachings of his guru, Swami Chidananda, with the sole motivation of uplifting humanity. Swamiji has been hosting workshops on Yoga Nidra, meditation, and Kirtan, along with Vedanta teachings from the Sivananda school of thought. Regardless of individual beliefs, the goal is to raise the collective consciousness of the community, enabling each person to become a better individual for the benefit of society.
